Sundial Bridge Section Re-Opens…
August 1st marks the re-opener of the top section of the Lower Sacramento River, right here in Redding, CA.
Most people refer to this as the Sundial Bridge section named after the most prominent landmark in our city. The big, white, footbridge over the river at Turtle Bay.
The river will be now open to fishing for resident trout and the occasional steelhead from the Highway 44 Bridge all the way to Keswick Dam.
This section of river closes every April 1st to August 1st to protect the Winter-Run Chinook salmon spawning period.
The trout have had a four month break from any type of angling pressure. As you can imagine, the fishing is pretty damn good!
I still have August 10-13th & 22-25th open and available… contact me asap for details…
