Shasta Lake Bass

Bass fishing with the fly rod on Shasta Lake has been pretty solid these past few weeks. With a full pool lake and a warming trend in the immediate forecast… the bass fishing should bust wide open to epic conditions.

We are anticipating the top water bite to get en fuego any day now!

The float n fly technique is crushing all day long and we have literally forgotten how many spotted bass we have landed by lunchtime each day. The smallies are on the prowl as well and we are beginning to see a few show up in the daily bag.

Fishing from my 187 Champion bass boat w/ a Merc 150 takes us anywhere we wanna go on the lake. The boat rides smooth and dry and is perfect for one angler plus me, but will accommodate 2 anglers just fine. I have all the gear you need including custom tied flies for any occasion.

Get a hold of me asap to discuss a bass fishing day on Lake Shasta. It is prime-time right now (May-June) before the summer tourists show up in their wake board boats and jet skis. The lake is quiet right now and with the full pool it is stunningly beautiful.
